HOW WE LOST ANITA- Emmanuel Wuadi Abyegah an Assembly member lament with an article.

HOW WE LOST ANITA I woke up early morning today to the WhatsApp status of most of my friends about a young professional teacher Anita due for her promotion from Snr. Supt ll to Snr. Supt. l. I didn't need anyone to tell me at least what the matter was with her. The few words and emojis with pictures of a wrecked saloon car was enough to make me know that we again lost some souls to motor traffic accident. Recent data available points to the fact that, on the average, we loose five people to motor traffic accident daily as a nation. And this is about 1,825 yearly. Motor traffic accidents remain a world wide headache because no nation is spared. This explains why the drastic reduction in motor traffic accidents found it's way into the SDG. (SDG 3.6: the number of global deaths and injuries from road traffic accidents to be halved by 2020). Since 2011 when Ghana made the commitment towards this goals, little has been achieved. The nation of course made several commitments...

Since the commencement of the exhibition of the newly compiled register, a lot of displeasure from a section of Ghana people who were not able to see their name in the voter register. Some of the stakeholders from the affected areas were not happy and consider this action as deliberate attempt to rig the upcoming election for their opponents. The major opposition party, NDC (National DemocraticCongress), was also not happy for the development and also register their displeasure. The MP for Klottey-Korle constituency, Dr. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings becomes more disturbed when she got to know that, over 2000 names were missing from the EC exhibition voter register. Out of the 2000 names missing from the register, she said 500 were from one pooling station. In her opinion, such a development undermines public trust ahead of December 7,2020 general election. She therefore urge all eligible voters to go to their respective centres and check their names. Below is what she said ...

Mike Oquaye Jr Ghana ambassador to India Mike Oquaye Jr who wrestled with with a woman (Sarah Adwoa Safo) to represent the rulling New Patriotic Party for Dome Kwabenya Constituency and failed on two consecutive times describe members of think tanks and CSOs as "warped thinkers". This comment was made in relation to the much talked about promise made by Ex. President John Dramani Mahahma, the leader of National Democratic Congress during their campaign tour and the lunch of their manifesto to legalise OKADA.  This promise in their People's Manifesto has generated a lot of arguments. Some section of the Ghanaian people have a reason to support the idea of legalising of the use of motorbikes for commercial purposes (OKADA), while some are against it. As the discussion continues on the importance and dangers that the legalisation of the OKADA business will post to the people of Ghana,  The Ghana High Commissioner to India added his voice to development and described member...
